Mahalo Giving

**I know, I know...
"A Thanksgiving post in January?"
This was one of those forgotten drafts...enjoy!**

If there's one thing we love,
it's preparing good, healthy food
and sharing it with
those we love.

This was our first year to host Thanksgiving in our home,
and boy
did we EVER prepare?

The menu lengthy...

The table set

The food prepped days in advance

Did someone say Roasted Cheesy Pears?

Veggie's from our local farmer's market,
dips hand-made with love and care

Guests so special they take your heart and run

Disclaimer: Mahalo Giving is not the proper way to say "Thanksgiving" in Hawai'ian. I just made it up.

SHUT.
IT.
DOWN.
(and add in a little Vitamin N to our life...
Nature Deficiency is a real thing, people.)

the thoughts about what's next,
the to-do list.
We just "Shut it down."

Morning view from the campsite:

Off-shore winds, overhead sets...we got quite a show!

How very symmetrical of you, Mother Nature! I see you!

We did take a short camping break to visit our favorite coffee shop and watch part of a football game.
We powered it up...and then we

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, 'This is what it is to be happy.'”
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar

Is there any better way to cook dinner?
I'm talkin' potatoes, green beans, and onions over the fire.
More of this, please!
